Judge orders lifting of NFL lockout

According to ESPN and several other sources U.S. District Judge Susan Richard Nelson has ordered the NFL to lift it’s lockout of the the players. The NFL said it will immediately appeal.

The plaintiffs “have made a strong showing that allowing the League to continue their ‘lockout’ is presently inflicting, and will continue to inflict, irreparable harm upon them, particularly when weighed against the lack of any real injury that would be imposed on the NFL by issuing the preliminary injunction,” Nelson wrote.

It does leave a lot of open question here. Since there still is no Collective Bargaining Agreement what will that mean for Free Agency? Trades? Workouts?

I have made my support for the players clear in the past. I still believe the owners planned this from the start. The owners want all these give backs from the players and yet they players get what in return? Nothing. Frankly it is just a greedy money/power grab by the owners. It is a $9 Billion business. There is plenty of money to go around.
